Technical Business Analyst

We are seeking a temporary Technical Business Analyst to work with our teaching and non-teaching colleagues, analyse business requirements and work with technical vendors on effective technical solutions. Key to this role is the ability to internally consult, and offer client-based solutions.

<p>We are currently seeking a full-time, temporary (12 months) Technical Business Analyst to work with both academic and corporate staff to analyse business requirements and develop effective technical solutions in collaboration with external technical vendors. Key to this role is the ability to be an excellent communicator, anticipate the technical needs of teaching and corporate colleagues, and be able to explain requirements to them in non-technical terms.</p>
<p>This role will commence as soon as possible or as negotiated.</p>
<p><strong> What You Will Do</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Consult with a range of stakeholders across the School to gather, analyse, and document business requirements, translating these into functional and technical specifications and solutions</li>
<li>Document the design of systems integration, data flows, business rules and end user reporting</li>
<li>Produce detailed business and technical documentation, project briefs, requirements, business process descriptions, process flows, user stories, scenarios, task and workflow analysis and user journeys throughout the project lifecycle</li>
<li>Actively participate in project teams and collaborate with vendors to implement the solution design and configuration</li>
<li>Configure and customize SaaS applications to align with business requirements</li>
<li>Work closely with the Program Manager to plan and document system and resourcing dependencies to guide the critical path of projects</li>
<li>Provide detailed status reporting for each new system that gives a clear insight as to the project health and early identification and escalation of issues</li>
<li>Collaborate with development teams to integrate SaaS solutions with existing systems</li>
<li>Develop and execute test plans to ensure quality deliverables and validate the system configurations against business needs</li>
<li>Develop training and change management materials and conduct training sessions for end-users</li>
<li>Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for implemented solutions.</li>
<li>Perform other duties as required.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What You Will Bring</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst (5+ years)</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a similar certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA)</li>
<li>Strong proficiency in UML and BPMN</li>
<li>Strong background in test planning and execution</li>
<li>Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)</li>
<li>Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)</li>
<li>Hands-on experience configuring and managing SaaS applications</li>
<li>Experience in working with middleware, APIs and ETL processes</li>
<li>Knowledge of SQL, database management and database migration experience</li>
<li>Exceptional interpersonal, stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills</li>
<li>Proven written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical requirements in non-technical terms, and for both teaching and non-teaching colleagues across the school</li>
<li>Excellent analytical, problem solving, and strategic thinking skills</li>
<li>A current Working with Children Check clearance (or willingness to obtain).</li>
