The Community Engagement Officer strengthens relationships, communication, and engagement across the College community by coordinating marketing activities, community initiatives, enrolment communication, and alumni engagement programs.
<p>Working closely with the Director of Community Engagement & Enrolments, this role enhances the visibility, reputation, and connectedness of the College by producing high quality content, supporting events, nurturing relationships with current and past families, and maintaining accurate alumni data.</p>
<p>This is a hands-on, people-focused position, ideal for a creative communicator who enjoys building community pride and celebrating the stories of students, families, staff, and alumni.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>

<li><strong>Coordinate community engagement activities and events</strong></li>
<li><strong>Support enrolment communication and administration</strong></li>

<li><strong>Maintain accurate data and systems</strong></li>

<p><strong>Selection Criteria</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Experience in marketing, communications, community engagement, events, or a related field</strong>, with the ability to adapt your skills to a school environment.</li>
<li><strong>Strong written, visual, and digital communication skills</strong>, including the ability to create engaging stories and content for social media, newsletters, print materials and digital platforms.</li>
<li><strong>Experience coordinating events or community initiatives</strong>, with strong planning, time‑management and attention to detail.</li>
<li><strong>Confidence using digital tools and databases</strong>, with the ability to learn new systems quickly; experience with CRM or alumni systems is advantageous.</li>
<li><strong>Highly developed interpersonal and relationship‑building skills</strong>, with a warm, professional communication style that builds trust with students, families, alumni, staff, and partners.</li>
<li><strong>A proactive, creative, and solutions-focused approach</strong>, with the ability to manage competing priorities and contribute positively to a dynamic school environment.</li>
<li><strong>Alignment with and commitment to the Christian ethos and values of St Andrews Lutheran College.</strong></li>
