<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>The <strong>PS Classroom Assistant 鈥� Learning Support</strong> assists the class and specialist teachers in creating an inclusive, supportive, and creative learning environment for all students 鈥� in particular neurodiverse children and others who may require additional learning support. They play a vital role in enabling students to access the curriculum and progress with their learning and development.</p> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <p>The successful applicant will have a genuine interest in and warmth for assisting children in a Waldorf classroom setting. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, be a good observer and listener, and able to follow the teacher鈥檚 methodology. With your positive outlook and general attitude, you are willing and able to find ways of meeting and supporting each child where they are at. Experience working with neurodiverse children or commitment and passion to learn as required is a must.</p> <p><strong>Key Selection Criteria:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Excellent interpersonal skills with children</li> <li>Experience and interest in working with students with additional learning needs</li> <li>Knowledge or an understanding of the Rudolf Steiner Curriculum</li> <li>Ability to find ways of meeting an individual鈥檚 needs that work</li> <li>Good observer and listener</li> <li>Ability to use initiative and to accept guidance and feedback</li> <li>Excellent time management and personal organizational skills</li> <li>Experience in working with neurodiverse children, or commitment to learn as required</li> <li>Ability to adhere to the confidentiality requirements of a school environment</li> <li>Must have full working rights in Australia</li> </ul> <p>Applicants must hold a current 鈥渘ot-prohibited鈥� SA Working with Children Check and provide/obtain RRHAN-EC and Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting certificates before commencement of employment.</p> <p><strong>What We Offer</strong></p> <p>Willunga Waldorf School offers an exciting, supportive, and rewarding environment to work.
