Full-Time Leadership Role (Five-Year Tenure) Remuneration: Salary negotiable, based on qualifications and experience. Marian College, a Kildare Ministries School in the Brigidine tradition, is seeking an experienced and values-driven Business Manager to join the College Leadership Team.
<p><strong>Business Manager</strong></p>
<p><strong>Marian College, Ararat</strong><br><strong>Full-Time Leadership Position</strong></p>
<p>This is a key leadership role that supports the ongoing growth, sustainability and mission of the College by stewarding its resources with integrity, transparency and strategic foresight.</p>
<p>As a vital member of the <strong>College Leadership Team</strong>, the Business Manager contributes to the strategic direction and operational excellence of the College. This role supports the Principal in implementing the Strategic and Annual Action Plans, ensuring that all non-teaching functions – including finance, property, IT, compliance, and support services – reflect our core values of <strong>justice, service, and responsible leadership</strong>.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead the College’s financial management including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, compliance and internal controls.</li>
<li>Oversee all accounting systems and financial operations, including audits, payroll, taxation, WorkCover and superannuation.</li>
<li>Provide financial advice and reports to the Principal, Kildare Education Ministries and the Stewardship Council.</li>
<li>Manage fee collection and liaise with families regarding fee arrangements and government assistance.</li>
<li>Provide strategic oversight of capital planning, property management, and operational policies.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with all regulatory, financial, and Kildare Education Ministries requirements.</li>
<li>Support a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and high performance across all business functions.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Skills and Attributes</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>CPA, CA, MBA or relevant industry experience in business/accounting.</li>
<li>Proven ability to lead strategic and operational functions with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>High-level communication and interpersonal skills across a range of stakeholders.</li>
<li>Ability to manage competing priorities with professionalism and integrity.</li>
<li>Demonstrated capacity for ethical leadership, innovation, and system improvement.</li>
<li>A genuine commitment to the mission and values of Marian College and Kildare Ministries.</li>
