<p><strong>Director of Early Learning</strong></p> <p><i>Full-time (1.0FTE) | Fixed-term (3 year appointment)</i></p> <p><i>Commencing Term 1, 2026, or by mutual agreement</i></p> <p><br> The Geelong College is looking for an experienced leader to head our Early Learning Centre. This role offers the chance to guide a caring, creative, and forward-thinking early years program based on the Reggio Emilia philosophy.</p> <p>As Director of Early Learning, you will lead the Early Learning team, support students and families, and work closely with the Junior School Leadership Team to ensure high-quality education and community connections.</p> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Qualifications and Experience</strong></p> <p>Applicants must demonstrate the following:</p> <ul> <li>Evidence of Right to Work in Australia</li> <li>Bachelor of Early Childhood Education</li> <li>Registered through VIT (Victorian Institute of Teaching) or ability to obtain</li> <li>Experience in a leadership position in the Early Learning and/or Junior School environment</li> <li>An understanding and appreciation of the Reggio Emilia approach to education</li> <li>A broad understanding of the development and educational needs of young children</li> <li>Current Certifications in: <ul> <li>First Aid (HLTAID011)</li> <li>CPR (HTLAID 009)</li> <li>Asthma Management</li> </ul></li> <li>Completion of either: <ul> <li>The College's anaphylaxis training, or</li> <li>Accredited course: 22578VIC - Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis&nbsp;</li> </ul></li> </ul> <p><br><strong>To apply</strong></p> <p>Please address applications to Mr Simon Young, Principal, The Geelong College, and include:</p> <ul> <li>A current resume, and&nbsp;</li> <li>A letter of introduction detailing how your skills and experiences would align to the position and to The Geelong College Community.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><br><strong>Applications close at 5.00pm on Wednesday, 29 October 2025</strong></p> <p><i>Please note:</i>&nbsp;<i>applications will be reviewed as they are received, and interviews may commence prior to the closing date.
