🌿 Gardener/Groundsperson – Join Our Supportive Team Across Two Beautiful Campuses!

Are you passionate about creating vibrant outdoor spaces and working in a friendly, supportive environment? We’re looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Gardener/Groundsperson to join our Facilities team across our White Rock and Kewarra Beach campuses.

In this hands-on role, you’ll help maintain our school’s gardens, lawns, and sporting facilities, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff. More than a general labourer role, a working knowledge of horticulture (or strong interest to learn) is required, and you will learn a lot from your new team mates. You’ll work with a fun and collaborative team that values initiative, attention to detail, and a great sense of humour.

We offer flexible work arrangements to support your lifestyle and commitments, along with opportunities to grow your skills in horticulture, machinery operation, and grounds maintenance. Due to the nature of the role, you'll be experienced in working in the outdoor environment. If you’re qualified, reliable, and ready to make a difference in a dynamic school setting, we’d love to hear from you!

Is TAS for me?

Inspiring the Curious: You're excited about working in an environment that nurtures the individual strengths of both students and staff, and being an important part of a wonderful community. You are the sort of team player who will put their hand up to contribute, regardless of the task to be done.

This is a wonderful opportunity to join one of Cairns' preferred employers, and be a part of a well-established community-based culture.

Suitability to work with children, students, and young people

TAS provides a safe and supportive learning environment and we achieve this through recruiting professional staff based on merit and suitability to work with children, students and young people.

To ensure your suitability to work with TAS, the following checks will be undertaken in the recruitment process:

National Register Screen (Anglican School’s Commission)

Reference Checks

Child Protection Certificate

Apply now and help us keep our campuses green, clean, and thriving!

PLEASE NOTE shortlisting for this position will commence end of September.
