Sacred Heart Primary Yarrawonga is seeking a Learning and Teaching Leader to join our friendly school environment. This is an exciting fixed term full-time opportunity to be part of Catholic Education in the Sandhurst Diocese.
<p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p>
<p>Build a culture of purposeful learning and teaching fostering life-long learning with key responsibility for the development of a deep understanding of pedagogical knowledge and practice. </p>
<p>Cultivate a student-centered professional learning community informed by data and contemporary research, theory and practice. </p>
<p>Set high expectations for the whole school through collaborative and explicit planning in the delivery, monitoring and evaluation of the curriculum that identifies the diversity of individual needs and abilities. </p>
<p>Possess a sound knowledge of emerging trends in educational theory, learning theory, curriculum design, learning technologies, assessment and methodologies underpin all learning and teaching programs. The Learning & Teaching Leader has strategic and operational responsibility of student reporting. </p>
<p>Be a member of the executive leadership, who along with other members of the Leadership Team, holds collective responsibility for the overall leadership of our school. </p>

<p>In 2025, a diocesan first, a comprehensive and exciting new learning and teaching program was simultaneously launched across over 50 Catholic schools in the Sandhurst Diocese. </p>
<p>Magnify Sandhurst will be introduced across 2025 to 2027, with each phase designed to bring measurable improvements in each learning environment. </p>
<p>Magnify Sandhurst is set to transform learning for students with more specific and explicit teaching practices, bringing greater consistency and a more predictable and effective education experience for all students. </p>
