Sacred Heart Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to deliver our Social Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum as part of the specialist program from Prep to Year 6. The successful applicant will teach engaging, evidence-based lessons that develop students’ self-awareness, emotional regulation, empathy and positive relationships. In alignment with our Catholic values and wellbeing framework, the SEL Teacher will help nurture a safe, caring and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

<p><strong>Selection Criteria</strong></p>
<p>In addition to meeting the requirements of the Victorian Institute of Teaching, the successful candidate will be required to:</p>
<ul>
<li>Demonstrate a strong commitment to the Catholic Ethos, teachings, and the vision and mission of Sacred Heart Primary School.</li>
<li>Uphold and actively promote the safety, wellbeing, and social–emotional development of all students.</li>
<li>Deliver high-quality and engaging learning experiences that foster both academic achievement and emotional growth.</li>
<li>Implement contemporary, evidence-based pedagogical practices within a collaborative and professional team environment.</li>
<li>
<p>Communicate effectively and respectfully with students, staff, and families to support a positive and inclusive school community.</p>
<p>In addition, successful applicants will be expected:</p></li>
<li>To demonstrate a commitment to the Sacred Heart Primary School Child Safe Policy & the Staff Code of Conduct</li>
<li>Hold registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching</li>
<li>Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic Primary School is strongly preferred; a commitment to obtain accreditation may be considered</li>
