The Head of Middle and Senior School – Learning will promote the ethos (mission) of Navigator College at every opportunity and the implementation of the College aims, with the oversight of all activities directly associated with the Middle & Senior School – Its students, staff and parents.

<p>The Head of Middle and Senior School – Learning will promote the ethos (mission) of Navigator College at every opportunity and the implementation of the College aims, with the oversight of all activities directly associated with the Middle &amp; Senior School – Its students, staff and parents. The Head of Middle and Senior School – Learning will be willing to strongly identify with the values and Christian ethos of Navigator College as an example of an authentic Lutheran School.</p> <p>GENERAL EXPECTATIONS</p> <ul> <li>&nbsp; Ensure staff within the School embed the core Lutheran Education Australia (LEA) values of Growing Deep and Free to Flourish.&nbsp;</li> <li>&nbsp;Hold, or obtain, appropriate Lutheran accreditation leadership qualifications as required by the Lutheran Church of Australia (accreditation Acl);&nbsp;</li> <li>Work closely with the College Pastor/Wellbeing Team in spiritual matters including the provision of relevant worship and devotional actives for staff and students;</li> <li>&nbsp;Foster harmonious home/school partnerships between the College, the local Lutheran community, and the wider community;</li> <li>&nbsp;Plan, lead and support the strategic and operational development of the Middle and Senior School, in a manner that is consistent with College strategies and plans, including identification of priorities and directions;</li> <li>&nbsp;Demonstrate a passion for teaching and learning and a commitment to developing evidenced based, contemporary practice in pedagogy;</li> <li>&nbsp;Have a collaborative leadership style, demonstrating honesty, integrity, confidentiality and a high level of initiative; • Plan, lead and manage change processes within the Middle and Senior School;&nbsp;</li> <li>Provide and facilitate leadership, development and promotion of quality in all Middle and Senior School activities and inculcate excellence in teaching and learning;&nbsp;</li> <li>Oversee the general welfare of all Middle and Senior School staff and students • In collaboration with the Principal and other Senior Leaders ensure that Middle and Senior School activities comply with all relevant internal and external policies, procedure and reporting requirements</li> <li>&nbsp;Implement the necessary practices and procedures that promote and instill pride in the College and respect for people and property;&nbsp;</li> <li>Lead and monitor collaboration and partnerships both internally and externally;&nbsp;</li> <li>Represent the Middle and Senior School to outside bodies including industry and professional bodies as appropriate;&nbsp;</li> <li>Be committed to undertaking out-of-hours activities related to promotional and educational aspects of the College, and carry out all duties in a spirit of Christian compassion and service; and&nbsp;</li> <li>Perform such other duties as the Principal may assign from time to time</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>For further information please review the Application Prospectus attached.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
