Pittwater House is seeking a Director of Sport and Student Experience commencing January 2026. This senior leadership role (Leaderships Level 3) is an opportunity to lead a vibrant and comprehensive Co-curricular program in a supportive school community.
<p>We are seeking an experienced and inspiring teacher to join Pittwater House as our Director of Sport and Student Experience from January 2026. This is a senior leadership role (Leadership Level 3) that provides strategic oversight of the School鈥檚 Co-curricular Sport, Outdoor Education, and the scheduling of broader Co-curricular programs.<br><br>
The successful candidate will be a dynamic, learner-focused teacher with proven leadership in co-curricular education. They will bring vision, energy, and strong organisational skills to ensure all programs are inclusive, engaging and aligned with the School鈥檚 values of excellence, wellbeing, and participation.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead the development and delivery of the School鈥檚 Co-curricular Sport program, including representative pathways and performance opportunities.</li>
<li>Working with external providers to oversee Outdoor Education programs, including camps, Snow Sports, and other experiential learning opportunities.</li>
<li>Collaborate with Performing Arts and Co-curricular Coordinators to ensure balanced student engagement and scheduling across activities.</li>
<li>Recruit, mentor and support coaches, staff and external providers, ensuring high-quality program delivery.</li>
<li>Manage logistics, budgets, and compliance requirements for all Sporting Co-curricular and Outdoor Education programs.</li>
<li>Promote student wellbeing, participation, and achievement through sport and co-curricular engagement.</li>
<li>Promote and plan regional and international sporting tours.</li>
<li>Represent Pittwater House at community events, association meetings, and key school occasions.</li>
<li>Teach a class, details to be determined pending candidate skills.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Essential Requirements</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Tertiary qualifications in education and are eligible for NESA Accreditation.</li>
<li>Current NSW Working With Children Check.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience leading sport and co-curricular programs in a school setting.</li>
<li>Strong organisational, administrative, and budget management skills.</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire students and staff.</li>
<li>Current Senior First Aid qualifications.</li>
<li>Commitment to child safety and wellbeing.</li>
</ul>
<p>Desirable:</p>
<ul>
<li>Experience in coaching or coordinating school sports teams.</li>
<li>Knowledge of Outdoor Education program design and delivery.</li>
<li>Familiarity with Independent School Sport pathways and organisations.</li>
</ul>
