<p><strong>About the role:&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>The Head of Curriculum (Primary) assists the College Principal (Primary) in providing quality Maronite Catholic education for students in the care of the College. They take particular responsibility for the development of a student-centred, intellectually challenging, diverse and integrated curriculum, which is responsive to the academic, vocational and personal development needs of students from Kindergarten to year 6.</p> <p>The Head of Curriculum (Primary) is, firstly, a teacher. The Head of Curriculum (Primary) is also a member of the College Leadership Team.&nbsp; In this capacity, he/she is expected to be an excellent role model for other teachers.&nbsp;</p> <p>The Head of Curriculum (Primary) is expected to:</p> <ul> <li>Drive the scope and sequence of academic programs</li> <li>Provide expert advice to the teachers to deliver a relevant, stimulating, and effective teaching program</li> <li>Encourage a safe, inspiring, and challenging environment, whilst promoting the School's philosophy, policies, and procedures</li> <li>Demonstrate consistent and innovative teaching practices and initiate and lead activities that focus on improving educational opportunities for all students</li> <li>Mentor teachers and promote creative and innovative thinking amongst colleagues.</li> </ul> <p>This role is being offered on a temporary fixed term basis commencing immediately for a duration of 2 years.</p>
