<p>Wenona is seeking a dynamic and experienced educator to lead our PDHPE faculty. This is a unique opportunity to champion excellence in teaching and learning and shape a vibrant, inclusive culture across Years 7–12.</p> <p>As Head of PDHPE, you will provide strategic and instructional leadership, guide curriculum delivery, and inspire a high-performing team to deliver contemporary, differentiated learning experiences. You will bring deep expertise in NESA and HSC requirements, model exemplary practice, and foster a collaborative and professional environment with a strong emphasis on student wellbeing and continuous improvement.</p> <p><strong>The Position</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide leadership and oversight of all PDHPE teaching and learning, ensuring excellence in curriculum delivery and assessment.</li> <li>Model best practice in the classroom and foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.</li> <li>Support and mentor teachers through professional development, feedback, and shared learning approaches.</li> <li>Ensure differentiated strategies and the effective use of ICT to meet diverse student needs and enhance engagement.</li> <li>Champion student wellbeing and social-emotional learning as integral to academic success.</li> <li>Contribute to the wider life of the school through Co-Curricular involvement, events, and professional learning initiatives.</li> </ul> <p>This is a permanent teacher position, with a five-year leadership contract, looking to commence in Term 1 2026.</p> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <p>To be successful in this role, you will hold a relevant teaching qualification with current NESA accreditation and bring strong curriculum and assessment knowledge, particularly in HSC practices. Experience with HSC marking, K–12 teaching, or the PYP will be advantageous. You will be a collaborative educator with excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to teaching and learning, and a commitment to continuous professional growth.
