Campus Student Support Assistant

<p>Based at our welcoming Bairnsdale Campus, we have an opportunity for a Campus Student Support Assistant to join our team. This is a part time (0.4 fte), permanent position to start at the beginning of Term 4 2025, please state the days you are available in your application. This role will see you supporting a Specialist Learning Support Teacher and a Year 3 Student who is joining the campus in 2026 with additional neurodiversity learning needs. <br><br><strong><u>About You:</u></strong><br>
The successful candidate will ideally have a Certificate IV in Education Support (with previous experience desirable), or Certificate III in Education Support with recent relevant experience. You will be skilled in working one-to-one with a student with a disability to enable full participation in classroom and education activities, liaising efficiently with classroom teachers and campus learning support teachers, and maintaining accurate learning records. A current Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required for this role. <br><br>

<li>Support for release: Reliability and organisational skills to enable the Learning Support Teacher to use planning/release time effectively.</li>
<li>Personal care and dignity: Ability to provide respectful support with toileting and hygiene needs, following student care plans, maintaining confidentiality, and upholding the student’s dignity at all times.</li>
<li>Communication supports: Understanding of AAC, visuals, and strategies for supporting expressive/receptive language.</li>
