Since opening in 1961, Westminster’s vibrant sense of community has shaped our welcoming, down-to-earth character, enriched by School values of being brave, humble, kind, authentic, resilient and curious.<br> &nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About the role and you</strong></p> <p>The Director of Performing Arts is a leadership and teaching role responsible for the strategic, operational, and educational oversight of the Performing Arts program. This includes curriculum and co-curricular activities in Dance, Drama, and Music from ELC to Year 12. The role involves oversight of the Dance, Music and Drama Departments and includes team leadership, event coordination, budget management, and community engagement.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities include:</strong><br> • Lead and support an integrated Performing Arts program across curriculum and co-curricular activities.<br> • Coordinate a unified team approach to develop new initiatives and directions.<br> • Oversee curriculum content and outcomes, including all public performances.<br> • Manage and monitor Performing Arts budgets and align productions with budget constraints.<br> • Supervise Performing Arts staff and manage performance spaces.<br> • Coordinate the Performing Arts calendar and resolve scheduling conflicts.<br> • Collaborate with Marketing to promote Performing Arts subjects and events.<br> • Develop internal and external community engagement in Performing Arts.<br> • Facilitate performances at assemblies and school events.<br> • Manage performance-related logistics and liabilities.<br> &nbsp;</p> <p>A passionate educator, you will have significant experience leading Performing Arts programs across multiple disciplines.
