Together, academic staff and corporate staff provide an outstanding educational environment for students to grow and flourish.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About the Role&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>St Peters Lutheran College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Health &amp; Safety Adviser to join our People &amp; Culture team. This standalone, hands-on role is pivotal in ensuring the health and safety of our staff, students, and visitors across all three campuses: Indooroopilly, Springfield, and Ironbark. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering the College's health and safety function, promoting a positive risk culture, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate the development, implementation, monitoring, and review of the College’s health and safety system, policies, and procedures.&nbsp;</li> <li>Develop and deliver annual health and safety training programs for staff.&nbsp;</li> <li>Provide strategic guidance to staff and leadership teams.&nbsp;</li> <li>Promote a centralised and best practice approach to embed health and safety across all operations.&nbsp;</li> <li>Collaborate with staff to identify hazards, risks, and areas for improvement.&nbsp;</li> <li>Establish and maintain a robust health and safety reporting system.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ensure compliance with applicable work health and safety legislation.&nbsp;</li> <li>Manage day-to-day administration relevant to the role.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>What You Bring&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>A relevant tertiary degree qualification in workplace health and safety or a related discipline, and/or extensive relevant work experience.&nbsp;</li> <li>Comprehensive knowledge of WHS Act, Regulations, and relevant governing bodies.&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience in a similar role, with knowledge of risk management principles, health and safety trends, and incident investigation methodologies.&nbsp;</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.&nbsp;</li> <li>Excellent written and oral communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.&nbsp;</li> <li>Highly developed organisational and time management skills.&nbsp;</li> <li>Commitment to the College’s Christian ethos and values.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>How to Apply&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>To apply, please submit your cover letter and curriculum vitae, demonstrating how you meet the requirements of the Position Description by clicking on the Apply butÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú provided.
