The College enjoys an outstanding reputation within the community for its strong academic achievement and commitment to student wellbeing, underpinned by a Christian foundation and inclusive values.</p> <p>We are currently seeking a passionate and innovative Sustainability and Kitchen Garden Teacher<strong>&nbsp;</strong>to join our Junior School team on a permanent part-time basis commencing January 2026.</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>This role leads the College’s outdoor learning and sustainability initiatives, centred on the Stephanie Alexander Garden Programme. It delivers hands-on lessons for all year levels that integrate with the curriculum, promote environmental responsibility, and foster sustainable practices. Activities include gardening, animal care, composting, recycling and produce-based projects, developed in collaboration with Junior School staff.</p> <p><strong>What we are looking for:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Registration with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia</li> <li>Tertiary qualifications in Education</li> <li>Knowledge and practical skills in sustainability, gardening, and/or environmental education</li> <li>Experience delivering engaging hands-on learning across multiple year levels</li> <li>Current WWCC, RRHAN-EC, First Aid, and Valuing Safe Communities training (or willingness to obtain)</li> <li>A demonstrated commitment to the Vision, Mission, and Values of the College</li> </ul> <p>Experience with the Stephanie Alexander Garden Programme, school recycling initiatives, or animal care (e.g., chickens, worm farms) will be highly regarded</p> <p><strong>Applications close 24 September 2025</strong><br> Please note: The College reserves the right to interview and appoint prior to the closing date if a suitable candidate is identified.</p>
