Commencing in January 2026, The School Chaplain | Head of Service-Learning is a part-time 0.4 FTE load position. The successful candidate may negotiate a fulltime load should a 0.6 teaching load be available. At Scots this position sits within our wellbeing team.

<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p>
<p>The School Chaplain provides pastoral care through ministry to students, staff, and families of the Scots School Albury.</p>
<p>The School expects the Chaplain to lead the chapel and religious education programs.</p>
<p>The Chaplain as the Head of Service – Learning will also develop and implement the school’s Service-Learning Program from K-12.</p>
<p>The successful candidate will ideally have the following qualifications:</p>
<ul>
<li>A recognised theological degree or equivalent ministry training (preferred)</li>
<li>Be a minister/chaplain in good standing with the Uniting Church in Australia or other Christian Denomination.</li>
<li>Desirable | Teaching and/or counselling and/or youth leadership qualifications</li>
<li>Desirable | Qualifications that allow for registration as a Teacher in NSW | Fulfil requirements as mandated with the NSW Institute of Teachers.</li>
<li>Desirable | Postgraduate course in student welfare/counselling/education management.</li>
</ul>
