<p>Trinity Anglican School is a coeducational, independent school located in the tropical North Queensland city of Cairns. Established in 1983, Trinity Anglican School delivers excellence in education across its two campuses at Kewarra Beach and White Rock. TAS fosters a high-performing and collaborative staff culture, and continues to invest in contemporary pedagogy, learning technologies and leadership capacity to support exceptional academic outcomes.</p> <p>Reporting to the Principal, the Head of Teaching and Learning leads strategic and operational initiatives related to curriculum design, pedagogy, assessment, and academic performance across the whole school. This role provides visionary academic leadership and works collaboratively with key leaders to ensure cohesive, student-centred learning that enables students and staff to thrive. With a future-focused lens, the Head of Teaching and Learning supports a culture of innovation, drives whole-school academic strategy, sustains continuous improvement and ensures that Trinity Anglican School remains at the forefront of educational excellence.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience in a senior academic leadership role, preferably in an independent or Anglican school setting.</li> <li>Experience leading whole-school academic strategy, with deep understanding of curriculum design, contemporary pedagogy and assessment frameworks.</li> <li>A forward-thinking approach to education, capacity to contribute to strategic planning, and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.&nbsp;</li> <li>Proficiency in operational management and data analysis to monitor student progress and inform teaching practice.</li> <li>Ability to inspire and support academic staff, build capability, and foster collaboration and professional growth.&nbsp;</li> <li>Commitment to supporting student wellbeing and academic success through inclusive and responsive practices that enhance engagement and learning outcomes.&nbsp;</li> <li>Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage and collaborate with staff, students, parents and external educational bodies.</li> </ul> <p>With a commencement date in January 2026, applicants must hold tertiary qualifications in education, have the right to work in Australia, and hold or be eligible for Queensland teacher registration.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Is the Cairns life for me?</strong> Living and working in a world class holiday destination is as good as it sounds.
