<p>St George Preca Catholic Primary School is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic Religious Education Leader to join our school community. Staff at St George Preca passionately care about children and our wider community.</p> <p>This is an important leadership role within the school with a Position of Leadership allowance at POL3 and a full time allocation for planning, supporting and leading Religious Education throughout the school. The contract is an ongoing teaching contract with a three year POL as Religious Education Leader.</p> <p>Experienced Religious Education Leaders and those with additional qualifications in Religious Education or Theology are encouraged to apply.</p> <p>This position will commence at the beginning of the 2026 School Year.</p> <p>The successful candidate will be required to:</p> <ul> <li>be accredited to Teach Religious Education or Lead in a Catholic School</li> <li>lead staff faith formation</li> <li>lead the school’s Religious Education program, supportive of the values of the contemporary Church with a focus on recontextualisation</li> <li>provide expert leadership in learning to support the faith journey of all children</li> <li>support the development of staff to create learning programs in Religious Education that are engaging, cumulative and continuous</li> <li>attend Religious Education Network meetings at the Western Region, MACS</li> <li>liaise closely with the Parish Priest to support the sacramental and liturgical needs of our school</li> <li>attend and participate in network meetings with the St Catherine of Siena RELs from our parish &nbsp;</li> <li>organise and attend faith development nights for the Sacraments</li> <li>organise and support student lead Social Justice initiatives</li> <li>prepare the Sacrament masses</li> <li>drive the Catholic ethos of the school</li> <li>build and maintain positive respectful relationships with students, colleagues and families</li> <li>work collaboratively with school staff, parents, clergy, and community members</li> <li>work flexibly and collaboratively within staff teams</li> <li>have highly effective organisational and communication skills</li> <li>be committed to professional learning and ongoing improvement</li> <li>have a passion for fostering the spiritual growth and development of the school community</li> </ul> <p>St George Preca Catholic Primary School is committed to the safety, well being and protection of all children in our care.</p> <p>Prerequisites:</p> <p>• accreditation to teach Religious Education or Lead in a Catholic School</p> <p>• a commitment to the Catholic ethos</p> <p>• current VIT registration</p> <p>Applications are currently open and close on Friday August 1, 2025.
