A vacancy exists for an experienced Part Time Payroll Officer to join our team as a maternity leave replacement. This position is part time 15-month contract position commencing as soon as possible.

<p>St Monica's College is a Catholic co-educational College (Years 7 - 12) serving the northern suburbs of Melbourne and is governed under the authority of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Limited (MACS).</p> <p>Our College is located on&nbsp;three metropolitan campuses in Epping and Reservoir, and a rural campus, Ostia, in Strath Creek for spiritual retreat.&nbsp; Epping campuses are&nbsp;walking distance from each other and the Epping train station.&nbsp;</p> <p>A vacancy exists for an experienced and detail-focused Part Time Payroll Officer (four days per week)&nbsp;to join our team as a maternity leave replacement. This position requires someone with full-function payroll experience, where they will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing for 450 employees.&nbsp;</p> <p>This position is part time 15-month contract position commencing as soon as possible.</p> <p>Hours of work are 8.00 am to 4.36 pm with one hour for lunch.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Core duties will include:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Prepare and reconcile fortnightly end to end Payroll functions, include handling superannuation, salary sacrifice and other deductions</li> <li>Maintain employee payroll records</li> <li>Transmit salary and taxation details via online banking</li> <li>Key contact for all payroll queries&nbsp;</li> <li>Relevant compliance tasks&nbsp;</li> <li>Overtime calculations</li> <li>EBA and award interpretation</li> <li>End of Financial Year Reconciliations</li> <li>Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll legislation and company policies.</li> </ul> <p><strong>The successful candidate will have experience as a Payroll Officer and possess the following skills and qualities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Solid payroll background essential&nbsp;</li> <li>Month/year end reconciliation's,&nbsp;superannuation,&nbsp;EBA interpretation etc.&nbsp;</li> <li>Able to adapt to changes in processes, systems and regulations</li> <li>An adaptable, collaborative work ethic</li> <li>Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy</li> <li>Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under minimal supervision</li> <li>Proficient in using payroll software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel</li> <li>Effective communication skills and the ability to liaise with employees at all levels.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Culture and Benefits</strong></p> <ul> <li>&nbsp; &nbsp; We provide a work environment that nurtures on-going growth and development</li> <li>&nbsp; &nbsp; We build capacity in all areas of teaching and learning</li> <li>&nbsp; &nbsp; Ongoing religious formation to enhance Catholic Identity.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Special Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>St Monica's College promotes the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children, therefore the successful applicant must demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to providing a safe environment for children</li> <li>The successful applicant will be required to have or undergo both a Working with Children Check and a Police Check.&nbsp;</li> <li>Applications to include a cover letter, CV and the names and contact details of three referees.</li> <li>Salary for this position is based on experience in accordance with the Victorian Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement (CEMEA) as varied from time to time.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Applications will be considered upon receipt.</strong><br> &nbsp;</p> <p>For further information about our College please visit <a href="https://www.stmonicas-epping.com" rel="nofollow">www.stmonicas-epping.com</a>&nbsp;</p>
