THE ROLE Trinity Anglican College is seeking a passionate and experienced teacher to join our dedicated and talented team. We are looking for someone with the ability to teach Enterprise Computing and/or Software Engineering, Computing Technology and Digital Technologies. This opportunity is offered as a full-time, fixed-term role for Semester 2, 2025. Teachers are responsible for providing quality content and continuity of learning experiences for students; the delivery of best quality programs, teaching and learning activities and the achievement of student outcomes for all students within the subject area. A love of teaching and learning, initiative, an optimistic outlook, great organisational skills, excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to professional learning are all pre-requisites for the position. QUALIFICATIONS • Possess appropriate tertiary qualifications for this position. • NESA Accreditation to teach (accreditation at a minimum of Proficient Accreditation will be advantageous). • Current Working with Children Check and National Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC). REQUIRED EXPERIENCE - Experience teaching NSW / NESA courses. - Experience teaching Digital Technologies from 7-10. - Ability to teach Enterprise Computing and/or Software Engineering. - Attendance at appropriate professional development activities relating to teaching. - Experience and knowledge of current practices in Digital Technology education and trends. SKILLS & CAPABILITIES - Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. - Strong interpersonal skills and experience in maintaining cooperative partnerships within an organisation. - Skilled in negotiating conflicting interests to ensure a positive outcome. - Be a team player with experience working within a team and independently. - Well-organised and committed. - Creative and energetic. - High order critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions. - Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines. - A willingness to do what it takes to get the job done, coupled with a flexible approach and pleasant manner. KEY SELECTION CRITERIA The Key Selection Criteria will be used to select the Digital Technologies Teacher and are to be addressed in the application: • Ability to teach computing and digital technology subjects. • An effective and engaging teacher with a demonstrated ability to cater to the individual needs of students. • Knowledge of current educational issues and opportunities relating to the subject area. • Ability to make a positive contribution to a team in a school environment. • Ability to plan, implement and review academic programs. • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students, staff and parents of the College.
