<p>St John Vianney’s is seeking applications from enthusiastic and suitably qualified teachers for a classroom teaching position (0.6), commencing in Term 3, 2025. The role includes teaching in a Year 1–2 classroom for two days (Monday and Friday) and an additional one day (day and role negotiable).</p> <p><strong><u>The successful applicant will demonstrate :</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>a willingness to support the values and ethos of Catholic Education</li> <li>knowledge of the Explicit Instruction approach to learning and teaching (favourable but not essential)&nbsp;</li> <li>knowledge in the Science of Learning and Science of Reading (favourable but not essential)&nbsp;</li> <li>a collegial, team-based approach to learning and teaching</li> <li>strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills</li> <li>the skills and abilities to provide students with a rich and rewarding educational experience</li> <li>the ability to use data to inform teaching and learning</li> <li>sound knowledge and understanding of Religious Education within the Primary School&nbsp;</li> <li>competent skills and pedagogy around Google applications</li> <li>a sound understanding of learning in an EAL community</li> <li>the ability to build positive supportive relationships with students, parents and colleagues</li> <li>initiative and a commitment to ongoing Professional Learning</li> <li>an understanding and commitment to Child Safety.</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>The successful applicant will have:&nbsp;</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>VIT registration</li> <li>a current Police Check</li> <li>RE Accreditation or a willingness to complete&nbsp;</li> <li>a current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to undertake a First Aid Course).</li> </ul> <p><strong>St John Vianney's is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care.</strong></p>
